Travel to CUBA 2020

Havana Cuba is a photographer’s dream for a backdrop. Old Havana is cool but it’s there for the tourists. There are lots of sidewalk cafes and old buildings to enjoy in Old Havana but I love Central Havana. It’s raw and real. It’s a neighborhood of working class folks, children going to school and families lined up for their rations of food. There might be kids playing baseball in the street or a young couple discussing the artifacts of love or a group of men playing dominoes in the street. The main thing is that they are all so accepting of us foreigners. You can sit down with the old guys and play a game of dominoes or wander through the streets at sunset photographing the old beautiful murals. It would take a few years to explore all of Havana but if you get up in the early morning and hang outside around sunsets this is when you’ll find Havana the most appealing. The air is cooler and the light is sensational but it’s also when everyone comes out to play. Viva Cuba!
